Our center directors are selected for their educational background, experience in early childhood education, and dedication to providing a high quality early childhood program.  We are fortunate to have directors who have worked with our organization for many years and who have chosen to place their own children in our centers.  Although all of our centers have specific guidelines by which the centers must operate, we welcome the unique features that each director brings to her center. Each center reflects the director's individuality.

Dear Families,

Hello, and welcome to The Children’s Workshop in Greeley. We are excited that you are looking for information on our private preschool and look forward to meeting all future families and students.

Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Alexandra Brissenden and I have been working with The Children’s Workshop since August of 2012. I started with the company as a preschool teacher, and shortly after had the wonderful opportunity to become the lead prekindergarten teacher as well as the Assistant Director at our Grant Street location in Fort Collins. After gaining some wonderful experience, I was offered the position of Director at the Diana Drive center in Loveland in 2014. After four years at Diana Drive, I am pleased to announce that I have accepted the position of Director at our Greeley location as of August 2018.

Born and raised in New York State, I received my Bachelors of Science Degree in Childhood Education, as well as a dual Masters of Science Degree in Childhood Education and Special Education. Upon completion of my Master’s degree, I became engaged to my wonderful husband and together we made the move out to Colorado! Shortly after arriving I started my position with The Children’s Workshop. During my time here I have attended extensive educational trainings at the Larimer County Early Childhood Council, attended additional classes at Front Range Community College to complete my Director Certification through the state of Colorado and participated in the creation of a staff curriculum and development programs for The Children’s Workshop.

My teaching philosophy is one that encourages children and motivates them so that they want to learn. I grew up learning much more from non-traditional methods of teaching. I was lucky enough to have had teachers that took the time to figure out what worked for me as an individual. I will take the same care with your child and assess them to see which learning style(s) work best for them, helping them grow academically and as an individual.

If at any time you have questions, concerns or ideas, please feel free to discuss them with me. A child’s learning is a cooperative process between  teachers, parents and other family members and friends. If we all work together, there is no doubt that each child will shine and grow to become something great, maximizing their full potential. I am excited for this new opportunity at our Greeley Early Learning Center and can’t wait to get to know everyone!
