"The teachers are amazing. I can't express the joy and gratefulness I have for them and what they accomplished with my children. I believe the advantages this program gives over public kindergarten will help my children overcome any challenges they might encounter in further educational opportunities and life's challenges."

Our center directors are selected for their educational background, experience in early childhood education, and dedication to providing a high quality early childhood program.  We are fortunate to have directors who have worked with our organization for many years and who have chosen to place their own children in our centers.  Although all of our centers have specific guidelines by which the centers must operate, we welcome the unique features that each director brings to her center. Each center reflects the director's individuality.

Welcome to The Children’s Workshop Early Learning Center. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Kelly Rodriguez and I am the Director of this center. I started working here, as the kindergarten teacher, in August 2007. After several years I was given the opportunity to also work in the office, where I gained additional knowledge and experience. I was offered the position of Director of this center in December 2018.

I was born and raised in Upstate New York and moved to Colorado my junior year of high school. I attended UNC and received my Bachelors Degree in Geography and Education. I have always had a passion for early childhood education and was a nanny throughout my college years. Over the last few years I have taken additional classes and training sessions to become Director Certified in the State of Colorado. My husband and I have been married for 11 years and we have a 6 year old son.

My teaching philosophy is to learn through hands on experiences and to help each individual child love learning and exploring new things. At The Workshop we focus on the child’s individual strengths to help foster them in a loving and nurturing environment. We use redirection and positive guidance strategies to encourage independence and decision making skills. The Early Learning and Development Guidelines, Core Knowledge Curriculum, and Colorado Shines Standards provide our teachers with the tools to create meaningful and appropriate lesson plans to foster the most efficient growth of each child.

We pride ourselves in having a close-knit school that puts our children first. It is important for us to develop meaningful relationships with our students, their parents, and other family members. When we all work together, each child has the opportunity to reach their full potential. I am excited to get to know you and your family and hope to see you soon.

Kelly Rodriguez
