Dear Families,

Hello, and welcome to The Children’s Workshop on Diana Drive in Loveland! We are excited that you are looking for information on our private preschool and look forward to meeting all future families and students.

Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Rachel Huether and I have been working with The Children’s Workshop since August 2015. I started out as an assistant teacher at the Diana Dr. location to all classrooms but as time went on I became the lead preschool and pre-K teacher. During my time as a lead teacher I was given the opportunity to train in the office and transfer to our sister school on Grant Ave. to become the Assistant Director. This transfer allowed me to gain wonderful knowledge and experience in the office. During my time as AD I was offered the position of Director at Diana Dr. and I could not turn it down. I started in this position October 2018 and have loved every minute of it. I am excited to share all the things this center can offer and help our children succeed and grow.

I was born and raised in Montana but moved to Colorado to attend Colorado State University in Fort Collins. There I received my Bachelors of Art Degree in Music Therapy, as well as a Performance Certificate on violin. Upon completion of my degree, I became a board certified music therapist and started my own music business called Happy Notes. Since then I have grown my private violin and piano studio, have provided music therapy services to many different populations, and have taught music classes to this early learning center. While running my own music business I have taken numerous classes on early childhood and have gained valuable business knowledge, which allowed me to complete my Director Certification through the state of Colorado.

My teaching philosophy is one that utilizes play-based activities, positive reinforcement, and compassion. I utilize my musical talents to teach children academics, social-emotional, etc. and I individualize the lessons to fit the child’s needs. I grew up in a family of teachers, which allowed me to observe different teaching styles and learn how to create unique activities for all ages. I believe that to have a successful and caring environment, there must be constant communication and cooperation between teachers, parents and other family members and friends. When we give children our love, care, and knowledge, they are able to grow and succeed. If at any time you have questions, concerns or ideas, please feel free to discuss them with me.
