Our center directors are selected for their educational background, experience in early childhood education, and dedication to providing a high quality early childhood program. We are fortunate to have directors who have worked with our organization for many years and who have chosen to place their own children in our centers. Although all of our centers have specific guidelines by which the centers must operate, we welcome the unique features that each director brings to her center. Each center reflects the director's individuality.

Dear Parents,

I would like to take a minute to introduce myself; my name is Mackenzi Grauberger. I joined the Children’s Workshop family back in 2012 as a Preschool Teacher at our Silverplume center. Prior to my employment, I graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Exercise Science. After attaining my degree, I realized that my true passion is working with children, helping them develop to their fullest potential. I decided to return to school and pursue my director’s license from Front Range Community College. During my studies, I was promoted to the Assistant Director position. Then, at the beginning of 2016, I was named Director of The Children’s Workshop on Silverplume Drive. My education continues as I attend various trainings and classes on topics prevalent in Early Childhood.

Our philosophy at The Children’s Workshop is reflected in the classroom environment at Silverplume. We believe that childhood should be a happy, exciting time of life. At Silverplume, we encourage children to learn through first-hand experiences and explore their environment to develop. We use redirection and other positive guidance strategies to encourage independence and independent decision making skills. We focus on each child’s individual strengths and talents to help foster them in a loving, nurturing environment. This allows children opportunities to explore, create, and develop self-confidence to learn about their world.

Our program reflects the standards set by Colorado Shines. We use the Colorado Early Learning and Development Guidelines to direct our teachers’ efforts in planning meaningful and appropriate lesson plans. By using the Core Knowledge Curriculum, we are aligning our program with the high quality standards set by Colorado Shines. All of our teachers are carefully selected for their educational background, experience, and a willingness to provide the highest quality care possible to children.

Young children require a consistent and loving environment from caregivers who will guide them socially, emotionally, physically, and cognitively. Above all, we believe that a child's most important teachers are their parents. Thus, our staff strives to create meaningful and significant relationships with each parent. Together, we hope we can help a child bloom to their fullest potential.

I would love to meet with you and give you a tour of our facility if you are considering entrusting your child to our care here at The Children’s Workshop. Please feel free to call or email me to schedule a time to come see us or ask questions. I look forward to meeting you and your little ones!
